Tamron lenses always offer value for money and this lens is no different, a fairly good price for the specs on offer. If you are after a lens for capturing portraits, kids or pets out of the studio, then this lens would be an excellent buy.

OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-600mm f/5.0-6.3 lens

Gotta love the reach and stability of this lens. It’s a Micro Four Thirds lens which matches well with the OM-1 and Mark II cameras. It covers 150-600mm range which is a full frame effective field of view from 300-1200mm…and still handhold-able. I don’t recommend using it handheld for a long time as it is around five pounds, but it’s good to know you can when you don’t have your tripod available or need complete mobility when catching your wildlife images.

DJI Ronin RS4-Pro Combo Gimbal

Recommended by Kevin Ames | Read Review | $1,099 | Available via B&H

Camera moves are seen in major Hollywood productions and in videos for social media and TikTok. The best way to move is with a smart gimbal. The DJI Ronin RS4-Pro Combo is just the solution for buttery smooth floating camera tracking shots, whether hand-held, on a car mount, jib, or even on a techno crane. The best new feature on the RS-4 is its quick-change plate. This makes changing the camera orientation from landscape to portrait mode amazingly fast.

Sony a7R V

Recommended by Julie Powell | Read Review | $3,398 | Available via B&H

Apparently, it’s not much of a technology jump from the Sony a7R IV. But if you’re like me and are shooting with something even older (i.e. a7R III), you will be amazed at the performance and image quality of the new Sony a7R V. The higher resolution, much improved AF Tracking and Focus Stacking are just a few of the features I am loving. Are you looking for a great all-rounder, a terrific portrait shooter and a great landscape camera? Then seriously, you can’t go past the Sony A7R V. It packs a punch for the price.
