NYC street photography on Christmas Day

With only a couple of weeks left before Christmas, many of you are probably finalizing photography plans and projects for the big day. In case you’re still unsure or want to try something different, how about doing Christmas Day street photography in your city? You might want to take a look at how Matej Sefcik did it last year in the video above.

The Slovak-born, New Jersey-based street photographer and filmmaker spent an afternoon shooting street scenes in New York City on Christmas Day. The city is a street photography haven all year round, but the context of the lull of the post-Christmas Eve festivities add a different perspective to the usual hustle of NYC. You’d think that Christmas Day would be even more busy, but it turned out to be a mostly slow and relaxed photowalk for Matej.
